  1. Good luck with your surgery.

  2. I just stumbled upon your blog this morning. I have made the decision for surgery after a long time of trying other methods to lose weight. I can’t wait to read your journey. I am very nervous so I am hoping reading your blog is just what I need as I get going on this process! Best of luck with your surgery tomorrow!!!!

    • Molly…good luck to you! It is a big decision. Get several opinions. Research all of the options. There are several different surgeries. Talk to your doctor and make sure you pick the one that is best for you. It’s a big change and a big commitment. Thanks for your well wishes! Smile and keep your head up. If you ever have questions or please email me. 🙂

    • And I cannot say this enough…if you feel a doctor is pressuring you towards a procedure that you feel uncomfortable with, pick a different doctor. There are several different procedures, some of which are very extreme. You want to pick the one that will ensure you lose the best weight for you, but also one your are comfortable with. This is your health. If you feel you are being given a sales pitch for a product, you probably are. You don’t want a product. You want a tool to help you lead a healthier life.

  3. I have been going to my weight loss clinic for a year and a half now seeking medical help with my weight loss….I did not want surgery. My doctor has NEVER pressured me in any way for surgery. When I went in on my last appointment and told her I just didn’t know what to do any more and that I felt maybe surgery was my option, she answered every single question I had. Now I am switching to the surgical side of the house (so to speak) and have met with the surgical staff and started the process. I am very comfortable with everyone I have met so far and in no way have I felt pressured to this point. I am continuing to research since I have this issue with having as much knowledge as possible when I am doing things anywhere near this important, but I feel that I am on the right path. I am looking forward to reading your blog from the start. 🙂

    • Sounds like you’re on the right path! I know that when I first started going to doctors, one that I went to was heavy on the sales by trying to push me into the most expensive, most extreme surgery. I was very uncomfortable with that. My surgeon is so cool. I’m glad I shopped around. I agree. This is a big decision. More information is the way to go! 🙂
